SEEKING - Drawing the Journey
An upcoming virtual solo exhibition with 33 Contemporary available through ARTSY.
The portraits in this showcase are a gentle hybrid of drawing and painting. With their rich depth of tonal values and dramatic natural lighting, the works evoke life-like qualities and invite the viewer to engage on an emotional level.
The drawings seek truth in art as they strive to portray genuine, unscripted moments with ordinary, beautifully flawed individuals from many walks of life. International Biennial Portrait Competition (IBPC)
The 2023 International Biennial Portrait Competition, juried by Aaron Sidorenko of Calgary, Canada, will hang at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art from July 7th through September 1st. The artist reception and awards announcements are held on opening night July 7th from 6-8 pm. The opening is free and open to the public.
D R A W N -The 10th Annual International Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing
In honor of the original spirit of the founding ideals of Manifest, the gallery launched DRAWN a decade ago as a new annual exhibition. DRAWN seeks to survey and present the broad scope of drawing being made today.
6th ANJE (Annual National Juried Exhibition)
The ANJE’s celebrates the nation’s leading contemporary representational artwork. The exhibition opens with a reception and awards from 6-8pm on January 20th. The reception is free and open to the public. Due to extensive construction at the Museum, the Annual National Juried Exhibition, traditionally held at the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art is hosted this year by D. Anthony Gallery.

Curated by Dr. Samuel Peralta, Cross the River, Signpost 2020, Watching and Waiting, will join the time capsule to rest among the thousands of art and literary works representing the creative achievements of mankind.
The Lunar Codex is the first significant placement of contemporary arts on the Moon in 50 years. The time capsule includes visual art, as well as a vast collection of contemporary books, poetry, essays, and music. The work is estimated to be preserved for 3,000 years.
